Located at 4241 University Way NE in Seattle, WA, Bugis stands out as a vibrant culinary destination, offering a delightful journey into the flavors of Korean cuisine. As a food reviewer, I am excited to introduce this gem to both seasoned Korean food lovers and newcomers alike.

Bugis boasts a creative menu that highlights the beloved tteokbokki—chewy rice cakes that serve as the star of several dishes. Among the must-tries is the Rose Ttokbokki, which comes swimming in a creamy, spicy rose sauce, complemented by shrimp, mushrooms, and fresh veggies. Each bite is a harmony of flavors, garnished lovingly with herbs and accompanied by toasted bread slices. At just US$15.99, it's an experience that tantalizes the taste buds.

For those who crave something rich and indulgent, the Shrimp & Bacon Carbonara Tteokbokki offers a unique fusion, marrying traditional Korean ingredients with creamy carbonara sauce—a combination that I found utterly irresistible. Just like the Cheese & Bacon Tteokbokki, it satisfies both comfort food cravings and adventurous palates.

Moreover, Bugis's menu extends beyond tteokbokki. The Hot Spicy Pork Sandwich dazzles with its layers of flavor, making it a compelling choice for lunch. Customers rave about service that matches the delicious offerings; friendly staff provide a warm atmosphere, and quick service is a pleasant surprise, especially during busy periods.

A visit to Bugis wouldn’t be complete without sampling their range of drinks. I found the Korean Coffee to be an intriguing twist on traditional coffee, providing a lively start to the meal. Don’t overlook their refreshing Blueberry Lemonade or the Vietnamese Coffee, both of which received high praise from locals.

Customer feedback highlights the attentive service and generous portions—attributes that enhance the dining experience. Pratik Shetty recalled how Bugis went above and beyond by accommodating a mistake with his order, further emphasizing the establishment's commitment to customer satisfaction. DJ Matthews also noted the hospitable nature of the staff and the delightful quality of the food, noting it was a perfect spot to celebrate special occasions.

In a world full of dining options, Bugis shines brightly. Whether you’re looking for a solo dining experience using their convenient kiosk ordering or enjoying a meal with friends, this restaurant perfectly blends modern dining with authentic Korean flavors. From the engaging atmosphere to an innovative menu, every visit feels like a celebration of food and community.

With its diverse menu offerings and welcoming vibe, Bugis is set to become a cornerstone of Seattle's dining scene. Don't miss out on this culinary adventure; your taste buds will be grateful!

Ordered a spicy veggie noodle bowl. They gave a veggie rice bowl by mistake. When we told them, they very kindly brought us extra noodles on the side at no cost. Very sweet. Bowl and mango smoothie we ordered were both good :)

Wow ! I was very impressed. This is my 1st time here, and I came for my daughter's birthday at her request. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was extremely delighted. The service was very hospitable, and the food was delicious. Everything tasted very fresh, and they have some great choices. I would definitely visit again ! Try the galaxy tea. Street parking is a little rough, but there is a reasonably priced lot just around the corner. 6 AFTER 6PM ON SATURDAY.

I tried their Rose Cheese Katsu Bowl and very good! Seasoning is on point and large portions. Service is pretty fast and reasonable. Your order goes through a Kiosk Machine. Perfect for solo dining and getting reasonable amount of food.

Never had Korean food before as my home doesn’t have any nice diversity of food. Some Korean friends brought me here and while I couldn’t say the name of the dishes it was very good and for what you pay you get a lot of delicious food.

I was surprised how good the spicy pork was. It was like authentic Korean food. Sauce was perfect and went so well with white rice. I loved it had small side dishes, boiled egg, and salad all together in a box. Their grapefruit honey aid was super refreshing as well. The server and owner were sweet and kind. I can’t wait to go back to try other dishes on the menu.

Went here a couple of times now, and I love it! I love how they give me various sides, such as fresh real greens(not cheap iceberg lettuce), pickled onion & radish, seasoned boiled egg, and corn salad. With rice/noodle one protein together make a well balanced meal. They taste great, too. I am not a big drink person, but their lemonades are so refreshing. Not too sweet or syrupy. I want to try the lavender latte, next time.

I will really miss this place . It was my first time here and it’s sad that they are closing. I had their chicken k-style bowl which is one of their best sellers.

Bugis is an unassuming Korean spot with an incredible lunch special of rice, pickled radish, and half a marinated egg atop a limited selection of entrees. Service is prompt and kind, but the food quality is unmatched. I had the spicy chicken(which is spicy- so thank you), which is the perfect combination of tang and heat. All the flavors meshed wonderfully. The interior is spacious, with plenty of seats for parties larger than four. I cannot wait to return to try their dak-kalbi for two!
